Trading Around the World
International Monetary Fund
Washington, D.C.
The technicalities of international trade may be a snooze for middle school students, but a fast-paced game that challenges the player to buy low and sell high is just the ticket. We took an onsite activity and programmed a trading model that matches the player with computerized traders from around the world. Prices respond to the overall health of the global economy, and players can see how commodity prices change over time. eduweb's role: Concept and content development, visual design, illustration, animation, programming, and production.

Monetary Mania!
International Monetary Fund
Washington, D.C.
Wanting to present some factual information about macroeconomics to high school students in an engaging way, the IMF asked us to develop an online trivia quiz. We recognized that much of the excitement of such quizzes (from Trivial Pursuit to Wheel of Fortune) derives from the social element, so we developed this trivia quiz show in which you compete against two other players (representing the typical knowledge of high school students and college econ majors). eduweb's role: Concept and content development, visual design, illustration, animation, programming, and production.
