A snake living in the rainforest? No, that's not right.

You may be thinking of the Anaconda, a snake which lives in northern South America. A member of the boa family, it is believed to be the world's largest snake, growing up to 30 feet long! Anacondas kill their prey--birds and small mammals--by wrapping themselves around the victim to keep them from breathing. Anacondas can also defend themselves with a non-venemous bite.
