Scouting the Settlers

The English Settlement at Plimoth Colony

You find another native who knows enough of your language to communicate.

He says, "These boastful English would not be alive if we hadn't helped them. We gave them seed and showed them how to grow corn. We showed them where to fish? What did they give us in return? Deadly diseases: measles and smallpox."

He also says this: "They have powerful weapons. Also many curious inventions, such as this thing called a clock."

"What is a clock?"

You have seen and heard enough. You note your conclusions for your report.
