"This artist was a genius with color," Trish explained. "He used the most intense colors because he wanted to paint intense feelings. He also knew they would fade over time. Sometimes he even squeezed paint right from the tube, often without mixing the colors. So his palette--that is, his color scheme for this painting--was also very rich and intense."
